Michael Boudreaux began his career in the hospitality industry in Baton Rouge at the age of 16 working at the local Godfather’s Pizza while attending Woodlawn High School. Little did he know at the time that the restaurant industry would become his lifetime passion.
After graduating from high school, Michael join the Louisiana National Guard to be of service to his country should duty call. He remained in the National Guard Reserves for eight years. During that time, Michael attended Southeastern University, LSU, and went to work for a new chain restaurant that just hit Baton Rouge, Outback Steakhouse. It was there that through his hard work and effort he began moving up the management ladder.
After working with Outback for a seven year period, Michael joined the team of Juban’s Creole Restaurant & Caterer. Again, through his dedication to and knowledge of the hospitality business, he soon became General Manager of Juban’s. In 2008, Mr. Boudreaux invested into the family business and became co-owner and President of Juban’s, Inc. That same year, he and the Juban family bought the Silver Spoon on Jefferson Highway.
In 2010, Michael and the Juban family went into partnership with Jeff Conaway and Chef Nathan Gresham, converting the Silver Spoon into a southern style bistro named Beausoleil Restaurant and Bar. Both Juban’s and Beausoleil are acknowledged by the Baton Rouge community and throughout the south as being at the top of their class in Louisiana dining. Michael’s life long motto has been “The key to a successful business is to always surround yourself with good people.”
Having been a member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association since 1992, Michael Boudreaux has served as Vice President of the local Baton Rouge chapter in 2007 and 2008, and as its President in 2009. Since 2010 he has served on the LRA State Board of Directors. He and wife Laura have been married for 11 years and are the proud parents of 8 year old Ryan and 6 year old Rae.
